ENGINEERING Holding, the Russian aviation MRO service provider, has announced its transition to umbrella brand S7. As a result, the holding itself and its subsidiaries S7 Engineering (with bases at Domodedovo and Mineralnye Vody airports) and Sibir Technic (based at Novosibirsk’s Tolmachevo airport) will now operate under the single brand – S7 Technics.

Transition under the S7 brand name is a logical move for the holding, which has historically been closely linked to the S7 Group. The decision to adopt the umbrella brand for the maintenance business is largely dictated by the company’s plans to further expand on the European and Asian markets.

“We are confident that the new brand will help us be more identifiable and intelligible to our customers. It is important, because in the framework of our long-term strategy we will continue the course towards strengthening our relations with industry partners – both in Russia, and beyond,” Igor Panshin, ENGINEERING Holding’s director for sales and planning, comments.

The Holding was established in 2005 following a decision to unbundle the Aircraft Maintenance Department of Sibir Airlines into an independent entity. Traditionally ENGINEERING Holding’s subsidiaries carry out all the necessary MRO on the S7 Group’s fleet as far as their capabilities stretch. Through the past years the company added capacities for maintenance of Airbus A310/A320, Boeing 737/757/767, ATR 42/72, CRJ-100/200, SSJ-100, and up to the newest types – Airbus A320neo and Embraer E170.

The Holding has also built experience in a wide range of maintenance procedures on CFM56 engines, launched an aircraft painting shop, and accomplished projects for aircraft component and system MRO jointly with the leading players of the global MRO industry and OEMs.

“We are proud of the fact that success and recognition of S7 Airlines, which is part of the global aviation alliance oneworld, are associated with us and our work,” Igor Panshin emphasizes.
